Beyeonics appoints Efi Zaritzky as VP Marketing

Haifa-based Beyeonics, a group of two startup companies (Beyeonics Vision and Beyeonics Surgical), has announced the appointment of Efi Zaritzky as Vice President of Marketing. In her new position, Ms. Zaritzky will oversee the marketing and branding strategies to advance the commercialization of Beyeonics’ platforms and its collaborations with strategic partners and leading medical institutions worldwide.

Prior to joining Beyeonics, Ms. Zaritzky has served in senior marketing, product, and business development positions in numerous life sciences, medical device, and pharmaceutical companies, including Lumenis, Minovia Therapeutics, Wellsence, UltraGen, Syneron, Radiancy and Pfizer. She has a BA in Business Administration from the College of Management Academic Studies and an MBA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Beyeonics group, originated at the leading global aviation company Elbit Systems, has leveraged Elbit’s advanced pilot helmet knowhow to develop an augmented reality (AR) powered surgical headset display and control unit that is designed to address the unmet needs of surgeons. The technology platform integrates 3D imaging and intelligence-based data processing which are presented to and controlled by the surgeon through the immersive augmented reality (AR) surgical headset. The platform consolidates data from different medical systems and displays it on-demand to surgeons in order to support precision decision-making in real time.

Beyeonics is launching these days the first-of-its kind Beyeonics One™ ophthalmic exoscope (using AR) for eye surgery in the U.S., in collaboration with ophthalmology medical devices global company BVI Medical, which markets and distributes products in 115 countries. Beyeonics is also actively expanding its innovations into the orthopedics and additional minimally invasive surgeries domains. During September 2021, Beyeonics raised $36 million to support its strategic efforts.

Ron Schneider, co-founder and CEO of Beyeonics, said: “Our surgeon-centric technology has been demonstrated to advance surgery in a way which responds to the changing challenges in today’s medical world. Having Efi on board is another important milestone for Beyeonics, which is expanding its commercial operations and the continues investment in innovation. Efi’s broad experience will help us realize Beyeonics’ vision to empower surgeons to outperform and by that to improve patients’ quality of life.”

Beyeonics is rapidly growing with over 80 employees in Israel and the US in the development, engineering, product, operations, regulations, marketing, clinical, and human resources disciplines, and is planned to hire dozens more by end of this year.
